Chill Out Sailing story starts in the in the Mediterranean in 2013.
As a yacht broker, David, the founder, decided to buy a sailboat and live aboard ! The adventures started. With his partner, he decided to host tours on board and show the gorgeous coast of the South of France.
In 2015, Chill Out Sailing moved to Los Angeles where we applied what was working in France: customer satisfaction oriented and professionalism.
Chill Out Sailing is now present in 6 different locations, offers 6 boats and yachts for all needs, and provide excellent training as well as professional deliveries on the West Coast to Mexico and Hawaii.
We have established partnership with yacht brokers, event planners and charter companies to bring the best services to our client.

Born with the desire to share the joy of sailing, Chill Out Sailing has two main values: Expertise and customer satisfaction.
EXPERTISE
Our captains are all US Coast Guards licensed and have demonstrated their ability to sail in various sailing conditions.
For charters, we have hosted all kind of events on board for 8 years on a large range of yachts from 35' to 72', motor yachts to sailing catamarans. We know the locations where we bring you: the best mooring spot for taking pictures, swimming, see marine life, or spend the night.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Because each tour has a different purpose, we take time to review with you the purpose of the cruise. We work with different professionals to bring you the best service on board: event planner, photograph, chef, sailing instructor.
If you have a special need, we prepare the boat in advance so you leave your worries at the dock, to just enjoy the ride.

Our Captains
Captain David
Born and raised in France, David started to sail at 10 on the West Coast, by the ocean. Passionate of travel and the sea, he embraced a career of yacht broker in the South of France where he lived on a sailboat and created Chill Out Sailing.
After many sea trials and an Atlantic crossing on a catamaran, he moved to California in 2016 and became a sales agent in Marina del Rey. Soon after, he got his captain license and started boat deliveries and charter.
With thousand miles of experience, David has two passports and a Master 100 tons.
Based in Long Beach, he is a proud father and spend his free time camping in the mountains, surfing or explore the surroundings.
With over 20 years at sea, Andrii Ivanov has turned yachting into both a profession and a passion. Based in the U.S. since 2022, he brings extensive experience in yacht charters, offshore expeditions, yacht training, and vessel deliveries.
He has trained hundreds of captains, developed innovative courses, and helped sailors of all levels master the art of sailing. Andrii has sailed over 70,000 nautical miles, including two Atlantic crossings, and has navigated the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Black Seas. His expertise spans a wide range of vessels, including yachts, motor yachts, and catamarans up to 72 feet.
He holds multiple ASA instructor certifications and is dedicated to delivering top-tier service and education. Beyond sailing, Andrii is passionate about smart training techniques, safety at sea, and making yachting accessible to everyone. Whether it’s refining sailing skills, planning expeditions, or sharing his deep ocean knowledge, Andrii combines global expertise with a love for the sea in everything he does.
